Conserving resources starts with climate-friendly transportation: Drivers of electric cars will find a dense network of charging options for their vehicles at the various locations of Best Western Hotels in Central Europe. More than a third of the hotels even offer guests charging points directly at the hotel.

Freiburg

Best Western Premier Hotel Victoria

For more than 20 years, the Best Western Premier Hotel Victoria in the heart of Germany's "Green City" Freiburg has been using a solar plant on the hotel roof to produce its own eco-power. The power gained through this is enough to supply all 64 rooms of the family-run hotel. The rest is covered through the hotel's share in the Ettenheim wind farm near Freiburg and additional purchases from the EWS Stromrebellen from Schönau.

The boutique hotel in the heart of Vienna has automized its consumption of resources on a most efficient level. It obtains electricity exclusively from renewable sources and uses only electric vehicles as company cars.

Best Western Plus Kurhotel an der Obermaintherme

A combined heat and power plant, a photovoltaic system and a most efficient gas water heater: With these facilities, the Best Western Plus Kurhotel an der Obermaintherme covers 90 percent of its power demand and 75 percent of the heat required for heating, water and the wellness area.

Ostseebad Prerow (Baltic Sea)

Best Western Plus Ostseehotel Waldschlösschen

The four-star hotel uses its own combined heat and power plant to supply heat and electricity – providing energy for the hotel's own e-charging stations, among other things.

Best Western Plus Palatin Kongresshotel

The hotel's own photovoltaic system on the roof generates around 55,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year with 220 solar modules. Furthermore, the hotel operates a micro combined heat and power plant which produces green electricity.
