For more than 20 years, the Best Western Premier Hotel Victoria in the heart of Germany's "Green City" Freiburg has been using a solar plant on the hotel roof to produce its own eco-power. The power gained through this is enough to supply all 64 rooms of the family-run hotel. The rest is covered through the hotel's share in the Ettenheim wind farm near Freiburg and additional purchases from the EWS Stromrebellen from Schönau.
